German-French-Italian-English dictionary of plant names and technical terms used in the NFI. Definitions are given for the terms highlighted in yellow.
stocking
General term for a stand of trees or bushes in an area of forest (according to WT). In the NFI stock outside the forest area is also recorded.- [de] Bestockung
Allgemeine Bezeichnung für einen Bestand aus Bäumen oder Sträuchern auf einer Waldfläche (nach WT). Im LFI werden auch Bestockungen ausserhalb der Waldfläche erfasst. - [fr] boisement
Terme général désignant un peuplement d'arbres ou de buissons sur une surface forestière (selon WT). L'IFN relève également les boisements à l'extérieur de la surface forestière. - [it] soprassuolo
Denominazione generale per un popolamento composto da alberi o arbusti su di un'area forestale (da WT). Nell'IFN vengono considerati anche soprassuoli al di fuori della definizione IFN dell'area forestale.

- The English plant names were taken form the internet (swiss web flora, PLANTS Database and Dictionary of Common Names by plantpress.com). The notations and abbreviations were taken from IPNI - The international Plant Names Index.
