German-French-Italian-English dictionary of plant names and technical terms used in the NFI. Definitions are given for the terms highlighted in yellow.

  • stability standards

    Minimum silvicultural goals in a protection forest to sufficiently reduce the effect of natural hazards, varying according to forest community. The goals are based on the notion of natural forest (cf. WASSER and FREHNER 1996). In the NFI qualitative criteria for the stand structure are derived from these goals and used as the basis for assessing the medium- to long-term maintenance of the protective effect.

    Waldbauliche Minimalziele im Schutzwald zur ausreichenden Reduktion der Wirkung von Naturgefahren, basierend auf den Vorstellungen über den Naturwald, differenziert nach Waldgesellschaften (vgl. WASSER und FREHNER 1996). Im LFI darauf aufbauende qualitative Kriterien zum Bestandesaufbau als Grundlage für die Beurteilung der mittel- bis langfristigen Erhaltung der Schutzwirkung.

    Objectifs sylvicoles minimaux dans les forêts protectrices pour réduire suffisamment les effets des dangers naturels, basés sur les conceptions relatives à la forêt naturelle et différenciés par association forestière (cf. WASSER et FREHNER 1996). Dans l'IFN, critères qualitatifs relatifs à la structure du peuplement, basés sur ces objectifs et servant de base pour évaluer la conservation des effets protecteurs à moyen et long termes.

    Obiettivi selvicolturali minimi nel bosco di protezione al fine di ottenere una sufficiente riduzione degli effetti dei pericoli naturali, gli obiettivi sono riferiti ad un presunto bosco naturale e quindi differenziati in funzione delle associazioni forestali (vedi WASSER e FREHNER 1996). Nell'IFN sono i relativi criteri qualitativi sulla struttura dei popolamenti che vengono usati come base di riferimento per la valutazione del mantenimento dell'effetto protettivo nel medio - lungo periodo.
