German-French-Italian-English dictionary of plant names and technical terms used in the NFI. Definitions are given for the terms highlighted in yellow.
stand density index (SDI)
Measure of stock density based on the number of stems per hectare (trees larger than 12 cm DBH) and on the mean diameter. Largely independent of the site class, the species composition and the stand age (calculated according to Reineke).- [de] Bestandesdichteindex (SDI = stand density index)
Aus der Stammzahl pro ha (Bäume ab 12 cm BHD) und dem Mitteldurchmesser berechnetes Mass für die Dichte einer Bestockung. Weitgehend unabhängig von der Standortsbonität, von der Baumartenzusammensetzung und vom Bestandesalter (berechnet nach Reineke). - [fr] indice de densité du peuplement (SDI)
Mesure de la densité d'un boisement calculée à partir du nombre de tiges par ha (arbres à partir de 12 cm DHP) et du diamètre moyen (dg). Largement indépendant de la fertilité de la station, du mélange des essences et de l'âge du peuplement. - [it] indice della densità del popolamento (SDI)
Indice di densità di un soprassuolo, calcolato in base al numero di fusti ad ettaro (a partire da 12 cm DPU) e dal diametro medio (dg). E' un parametro completamente svincolato dalla feracità stazionale, dalla composizione delle specie arboree e dall'età del popolamento.
