stand layer
A stratum in a stand's canopy formed by the tree crowns and clearly limited in height. In NFI, the space formed by the stem and crown is divided vertically from the dominant height (hdom) into the upper, middle and lower layers.
Bestandesschicht ("Schicht")
Durch die Baumkronen gebildete, in der Höhe deutlich begrenzte Etage im Kronenraum eines Bestandes. Im LFI wird der Stamm- und Kronenraum in Abhängigkeit von der Oberhöhe (hdom) vertikal in Oberschicht, Mittelschicht und Unterschicht dreigeteilt.
strate du peuplement (syn.: étage du peuplement)
Étage bien délimité, constitué par les houppiers situés à une certaine hauteur du peuplement. Dans l’IFN, on divise l’espace vertical des troncs et des houppiers en trois strates en fonction de la hauteur dominante (hdom): supérieure (ou dominante), intermédiaire et inférieure (aussi sous-étage).
strato del popolamento ("strato")
Strato ben delimitato in verticale, costituito dalle chiome situate ad una certa altezza del popolamento. Nell'IFN, lo spazio del tronco e della chioma è diviso verticalmente in strato superiore, strato medio e strato inferiore a seconda dell'altezza dominante (hdom).
